Race Glock 34 - When Gaston Glock began to create a lighter, straighter, more powerful pistol for use in the 80s and he got the Glock 17 (named because it was made in the 17th). In my humble opinion, the stock Glock has four weaknesses: The sights, the trigger, the trigger, and the control stick. The trigger isn't too weak, it's just a trigger for a weapon other than the middle one... But, we'll get to that in a minute. The concept, however, is complicated. The white half circles on the back face draw attention away from the front post which is different from the one you want on the side. "Gun war, front view". This isn't all bad because the experienced shooter doesn't want to see his gun in most situations, and we often have night sights. The sights included in our Glock competition are the Trijicon suppressor night sights with black rear sights (keep the front sight). Being a long suppressor allows them to be witnessed with our red Trijicon RMR sight. The trigger is long and heavy, especially compared to something like the Sig SRT in our "good" gun article. It's not even a big deal because a good wipe down, a pre-trip switch, and/or a $20 starter can make a big difference. Add spring gear and it's even better. If you want one of the best triggers available on any gun you can get one of the lower, adjustable triggers like the Phantom Adjustable Trigger from www.rockyourglock.com that is mounted in the Glock style come on. The control rod is polymer, weak, and cheap. Source also has power. A less powerful spring allows the Glock to move lighter loads, but increases movement. We believe that the polymer guide rod is more prone to errors than the stainless steel or tungsten type. A heavy spring and control rod like the one used to build our Glock also reduces frustration. If you are using a detonator it is easy to turn off the light spring for better use in detonating the weapon. We use a Glockmeister tungsten spring assembly with an 18lb spring in our three Glock 34 pistol builds. Finally, the slide stopped. I believe it is a weak point in the design of the gun itself. The stand is weak and relies on a small slide piece and a weak spring. At one point I personally had to use a Glock pistol to defend myself in a life or death situation when the reserve did not work and the slide was locked after firing a round (Murphy's Law). Fortunately, the round I fired saved my life. This is easy to fix (tap, rack, bang), which I need to spread more circles. However, all weapons fail, all systems have weak points, if possible, and this may be a flaw in the Glock. It is also completely protected by proper maintenance (spring replacement), cleaning, and one tool inspection. There is no "easy fix" for misaligned slides, but it's not a big deal as long as the springs are adjusted as needed (which is part of a good maintenance routine). Glock was truly a game changer in several areas that sent gun manufacturers scrambling to recreate the same effect. Its polymer design makes it much lighter than the competition which is a plus for someone who has to carry their arm frequently. We went with a Lone Wolf frame for our build which is made to Glock specs but not a Glock frame at all. The number of moving parts, and overall components in a Glock pistol is very small. Smaller parts are also easier to assemble and reassemble. This makes it easier to clean and maintain than previous guns, and as with any machine... Another change that received a lot of attention was the grip angle. Basically this will affect the direction the hand holds in the sagittal plane when shooting the gun. It's a different "experience" than shooting, say, a 1911-style pistol so if that's what you're used to shooting it may require a change in your gun and/or hand side. Whether you like Glock pistols or not the handle is much better than most of its predecessors. Another feature of the handle that is often overlooked is its round shape with flat sides. This allows the marksman to know where their gun is going without having to use sights. Our members don't use their sights when shooting the gun at close range and accuracy by "scene" or "muscle back" is easy to master with the Glock due to the importance of the design of the handle. For this reason, some automatic weapons are not visible at all. A shot that rotates too much makes wind direction difficult to judge by feel. The only downside to the design of the handle is the less aggressive sound. The possibility of losing permanent purchase on a weapon when adverse conditions add water, mud, or body fluids into the mix. Fortunately, building chains is common, simple, and effective in these situations.

The main benefit of owning a Glock is the customization and aftermarket availability. Besides the popularity of this gun, its simple design and few moving parts have created a large market for traditional "throwing" weapons. This is great in our opinion because any Glock pistol can be customized to meet the owner's needs.
